Rahima Begum is London based Artist, Illustrator and Creative Consultant. She is also the co-founder of an international human rights organisation and British Charity, RestlessBeings. Communities, rights, folk aesthetics and tribal lives are key inspirations and can often be seen throughout her work. She has exhibited in several cities across England and is currently in the process of working on a collection of paintings for an exhibition in London next year.
Illustration is at the heart of her practice and she works on several projects ranging from being commissioned to illustrate for children’s books and teenagers, to illustrating for magazines and emerging brands. In a world of increasing tech, Rahima is very much keen to sustain and preserve ink on paper – hand drawn methods. Therefore much of her work, has a distinct timeless earthiness to it which resonates her own personal style.
